UK Computer Science Master's for Non-CS Grads
No Coding Background Needed
UK universities run something called a Computer Science Conversion MSc — a master's built specifically for people who didn't study computer science, programming, or IT before. It assumes zero prior coding experience and takes you from the basics to an employable level in one year.
Tech remains one of the strongest areas of the UK job market, and demand for computing graduates stays high. Roles like software engineer, data analyst, and cybersecurity analyst are degree-level jobs that UK employers can sponsor for long-term work visas.
After graduating, the Graduate Route visa lets you stay and work in the UK in any field, with no job offer required. Completing your master's and applying for this visa on or before 31 December 2026 locks in a full two years to work, while applications from 2027 onward will only get 18 months.
Your spouse can often join you during your studies too, depending on your program and visa category. If you have a degree in any subject and are ready to switch into tech, this path was built with exactly that in mind — let's see where you fit.
Worth Knowing Before You Apply

A free online coding course beforehand isn't required, but it can make your first few weeks smoother
A CAS is simply your official offer confirmation — issued once you accept, used for your visa application
Computing graduates have a real edge in the job market — many degree-level tech roles qualify for long-term skilled worker sponsorship
